The ThinkPad P17 Gen 2 helps safeguard your data from the moment you pick it up. A match-on-chip fingerprint reader stores your biometric data on a separate system chip to deter hacking. In addition, there’s the discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM) for hardware-based data encryption, plus a self-healing BIOS that can restore earlier system settings when needed.

The P17 workstation offers ultimate flexibility, starting with the operating system with the traditional Microsoft Windows OS. Coming the fall 2021, you’ll be able to choose from a variety of Linux® options from Ubuntu® and Red Hat®.
