With read speeds of 7,000MB/s, it's 2 times faster than PCIe® 3.0 SSDs and 12.7 times faster than SATA SSDs. The 980 PRO series performs at maximum speed in combination with the PCIe® 4.0. The speed may vary with other settings.

Samsung's nickel-coated controller reliably monitors the heat level of the NAND chip. The 980 PRO's heat dispersion label ensures optimal temperature control.
