The GIGABYTE B860M GAMING WIFI6 is a compact Micro-ATX motherboard designed for Intel processors, supporting both Intel Core Ultra Series 1 and Series 2 via Socket 1851. Powered by the Intel B860 chipset, this board offers a solid foundation for modern desktop builds. It supports up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory across two DIMM slots in dual-channel configuration, with overclocked speeds reaching up to 9066 MHz. The board fits a standard ATX power setup with a 24-pin and 8-pin EPS connector, and measures a modest 244 x 225 mm, making it suitable for smaller system builds.
Fast Storage and Expansion
The B860M GAMING WIFI6 features two M.2 slots, with the primary slot supporting PCIe 5.0 and the secondary slot supporting PCIe 4.0, both accommodating drives up to 2280 in size. For additional storage, four SATA III connectors are available. The board includes one PCIe x16 Gen 5.0 slot for a dedicated graphics card, alongside one PCIe x16 Gen 4.0 slot for further expansion. Connectivity is further extended through three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and one USB 3.1 Gen 2 connector.
Wireless and Audio Connectivity
Built-in Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with Bluetooth 5.3 keeps the system connected wirelessly via dual antenna jacks. Wired networking is handled by a 2.5G LAN port. For display output, the board offers one HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 2.1, supporting resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 pixels. Audio is managed by a Realtek ALC897 chip delivering 7.1-channel sound output.
