Many products sold at Paradigit collect data during use. The European Data Act (in effect from 12 September 2025) requires manufacturers to be transparent about what data is collected, whether this happens in real time, how long data is retained, and how you can view or delete it. Below you will find this overview per brand.
Type, format and volume of generated data
Health and fitness data: heart rate, ECG, blood oxygen (SpO2), sleep, steps, movement, menstrual cycle and fall detection. Stored as structured health records (HL7 FHIR format). Volume depends on which sensors are active and how intensively the watch is used.
Continuous and/or real-time data collection
Yes
Sensors measure continuously. Synchronisation to iPhone and iCloud takes place periodically via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi once the watch has a connection.
Storage: device or server, and retention period
Data is stored locally on the iPhone and encrypted to iCloud (if enabled). Retention period is unlimited as long as the Apple account is active. The user manages retention themselves via the Health app on iPhone.
Access, retrieval and deletion of data
Via the Apple Health app: export as XML, delete per category or entirely. Account and data processing requests via
privacy.apple.com. Deletion is processed within 30 days. Terms of use:
apple.com/legal/privacy.
Type, format and volume of generated data
GPS location, heart rate, HRV, sleep, training activities, calorie burn and VO2 max. Export formats: FIT (Garmin proprietary), GPX, TCX and CSV. Volume depends on the number and duration of recorded activities.
Continuous and/or real-time data collection
Yes
Sensors measure continuously. Synchronisation to Garmin Connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi once the watch is within range of the app.
Storage: device or server, and retention period
Temporarily stored locally on the watch (limited internal storage). Permanently in the Garmin Connect cloud. Retention period: unlimited as long as the account is active. After account deletion, data is removed within 30 days.
Access, retrieval and deletion of data
Type, format and volume of generated data
Heart rate, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep, steps, stress, ECG (model dependent) and body composition (models with BIA sensor). Export format: CSV via Samsung Health. Volume varies per model and configured measurement frequency.
Continuous and/or real-time data collection
Yes
Continuous measurement with real-time display in the Samsung Health app on the paired smartphone.
Storage: device or server, and retention period
Locally on the watch and paired smartphone, plus Samsung Health cloud. Retention period: until account deletion, then a further 30 days. Deletion via Samsung account settings or Samsung Privacy Dashboard.
Access, retrieval and deletion of data
Type, format and volume of generated data
Video footage (HD/2K/4K depending on model), motion detection events, facial recognition data (optional, processed locally on HomeBase), audio recordings and doorbell events. Format: MP4 video, JSON for event logs.
Continuous and/or real-time data collection
Partial
Recording is triggered by motion or manually. Live view is available on demand. Continuous recording (24/7 mode) is optionally configurable, depending on the model.
Storage: device or server, and retention period
Locally on the eufy HomeBase (internal memory or SD card), or optionally in eufy Cloud. Local retention period: depends on storage capacity (oldest footage is overwritten when full). Cloud: 30 days (free plan) to 365 days (paid subscription).
Access, retrieval and deletion of data
Via the eufy Security app: view, download and manually delete video history. Data export or deletion requests via the app or
privacy@eufylife.com. Account can be deleted via app settings. Terms of use:
eufylife.com/privacy-policy.
Type, format and volume of generated data
Video footage, motion and person detection events, audio data, device status and network information. Format: MP4 video, JSON for event data. Volume varies per recording setting and resolution.
Continuous and/or real-time data collection
Partial
Recording on motion trigger (default) or continuous, depending on the model. Live view available on demand via the Tapo or Kasa app.
Storage: device or server, and retention period
Locally on micro SD card or NAS, or via TP-Link Cloud. Cloud retention period: 30 days. Local storage: depends on card size and recording setting.
Access, retrieval and deletion of data
Via the Tapo or Kasa app: view, download and delete recordings. Data export or deletion requests via
privacy@tp-link.com. Processing within the legally required timeframe. Terms of use:
tp-link.com/privacy-policy.
Type, format and volume of generated data
Audio and video recordings in Foscam's proprietary format, downloadable via the app as MP4. Images in JPG format. Local storage volume depends on card capacity and recording duration. Cloud storage covers alarm event recordings, alarm snapshots and optional 24/7 continuous recording; volume depends on the chosen cloud subscription.
Continuous and/or real-time data collection
Yes
Continuous and real-time recording is supported, configurable by the user via the mobile app or VMS.
Storage: device or server, and retention period
Locally on TF card (camera) or hard disk (NVR): retention period depends on storage capacity and recording settings. The user can choose whether old recordings are automatically overwritten when storage is full. Cloud: retention period depends on the purchased cloud subscription.
Access, retrieval and deletion of data
Local storage: erase TF card or hard disk entirely via the app or VMS. Cloud: view and manage recordings via the Foscam app or VMS. Users are required to agree to the Foscam privacy policy when setting up the app. Contact:
