Millimeter Wave Radar
Millimeter Wave Radar is an advanced technology that significantly increases the precision and detection range of cameras. By integrating two radar modules into the equipment, the camera can detect human movements in a full 360-degree range, even outside the camera lens's field of view, and track the person.
Example: A person standing behind the camera (invisible to the lens) is detected by the camera's radar, which then automatically turns to the person to track them.
360° Auto Tracking
When the R8M detects human movement, it will focus on the moving person and track them. This ensures that people are always in view, allowing you to secure your home in a more targeted and reliable manner.
Person and pet detection
In addition to motion and sound detection, the R8M also supports person and pet detection (cat & dog). With this technology, only the activities of people, cats, and dogs are detected. No unnecessary ‘false alarms’ from insects or other moving objects, and you receive push notifications in case of unusual activity.
WiFi 6 connection
Foscam R8M has dual-band WiFi, so it works on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. This provides significantly better stability and speed and less interference with other WiFi devices. WiFi 6 ensures super-fast streaming without delay.
One-touch call
The built-in microphone and speaker support two-way audio. With the One-Touch Call function, you can contact family immediately in case of an emergency: call with the push of a button!
Offer
As an extra with this camera, Foscam offers 3 years of free use of the Rich Media function. Rich Media Message push notifications are messages that send real-time snapshots to the app along with the message. This snapshot is taken when an alarm is triggered. So, you receive a snapshot at the same time as the notification, allowing you to better assess what action you want to take.
How does it work?
When you add a new R8M to the Foscam app for the first time, this feature is activated. You will then see a pop-up where you can accept or reject this feature.
