The Gigabyte B850 Aorus Stealth Ice is a white ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset, designed for Socket AM5 processors including the AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 Series. Supporting up to 256 GB of DDR5 memory across four DIMM slots in dual-channel configuration, with speeds up to 5600 MHz natively and up to 8200 MHz via overclocking, this board is built for modern high-performance computing. It features a UEFI AMI BIOS with 512 Mbit of memory and is compatible with DirectX 12.0. Audio is handled by the Realtek ALC897 chip, delivering 7.1-channel output, while a Realtek RTL8126 controller provides 5 Gigabit wired networking.
Expansive Storage and PCIe Connectivity
The B850 Aorus Stealth Ice offers four M.2 slots for fast storage expansion. The first slot supports up to PCIe 5.0 and accommodates drives up to 25110 in size, while the second slot also runs PCIe 5.0 with a maximum size of 22110. The third and fourth slots operate at PCIe 4.0 and both support up to 22110 form factors. Additionally, two SATA III ports are available for traditional storage devices. For graphics, one PCIe 5.0 x16 and one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot are included.
Wireless Connectivity and USB Options
Wireless capability is extensive, with support for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 6, and earlier standards, alongside Bluetooth 5.4. The board provides a broad USB selection including USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C ports, USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and USB 2.0 ports, ensuring broad device compatibility for both front and rear panel connections.
